DAY 1.

SACRIFICE.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."

John 3:16

I wonder how that day unfolded.

I imagine the Son nodding in consent to His Father's signal that it was time.

The angels perhaps stared on as the most highly esteemed King, too glorified for description, left His Father's presence.

All for a mission.

A mission to save a creation He should have gotten tired of.

A mission where He didn’t send "a" judge or "a" prophet, but THE Judge and THE Prophet.

A mission to slay not just another lamb, but THE Lamb.

A mission to get dirty so that God's corrupted creation can become clean.

A mission where a Holy Father sends His Holy Son to be a Holy Sacrifice to claim back His Holy Nation.

There was possibly a bazaar of farewell waves from the heavenly host to the Son; as He stepped down to be brutally murdered by the very people He was bringing life to.

What a mystery!

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the ultimate tag team, working for our COMPLETE redemption!

We, their children, were just too important for them.

And we still are!

“… I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself."

Jeremiah 31:3
